The black sesame oil from the family-run Yamada company has been produced in Kyoto since 1934 using traditional methods and is gently pressed once from hand-picked black sesame seeds. Precise, long roasting produces a mild but exceptionally aromatic oil that, despite its intensity, remains free of bitter substances and adds depth to any dish.
